The 57th Indonesian Youth Pledge Day, due on 28th October 1984, was commemorated in whole Indonesia with a Flag Ceremony. In Jakarta this celebration took place at Senayan Main Stadium. The Inspector of Ceremony was Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, dr. Abdul Ghafur. The first Youth Pledge Day was held on 28 October 1928. At that time the youth of all Indonesia proclaimed the national spirit to have: One Fatherland, One Nation, and One Language, being all called Indonesia. it was then also the very first time that the national anthem "Indonesia Raya" which is composed by Wage Rudolf Supartman, was sung as and official introduction to public. As history has proved, it was a divine inspiration which led to the production of Indonesian Independence 17 years later; a fact nobody foresaw at that moment.
