How to Make Tomato Soup

Ingredients:

• 1 medium white or yellow onion
• 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) butter
• Two 14.5-ounce cans diced tomatoes
• One 46-ounce bottle or can of tomato juice
• 3 to 6 tablespoons of sugar
• 1 or 2 tablespoons of chicken base, or 3 chicken bouillon cubes
• Freshly ground black pepper
• 1 cup of sherry (optional)
• 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
• 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
• 1/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley

Directions:

1. To begin, dice the onion. Melt the butter in a large pot or Dutch oven. Throw in the onion and cook until translucent.
2. Now, dump in the diced tomatoes and stir to combine. Add the tomato juice.
3. Next – and this is important – to combat the acidity of the tomatoes, add 3 to 6 tablespoons of sugar.
   Now, you’ll want to start on the low side, then taste and add more as needed.
4. Next, add 1 or 2 tablespoons of chicken base to the pot. (I added 3, and it wound up being a little too much.)
5. Now, you can add lots of freshly ground black pepper. Stir to combine, then heat almost to a boil.
6. Then, turn off the heat. Add in the sherry if desired. Stir in the cream. Add the basil and parsley, and stir.
7. Serve the soup warm.

PERBEDAAN "ASK, REQUEST, BEG, DEMAND, REQUIRE

Seringkali kita bingung menggunakan beberapa kata ini: ask, request, beg, demand dan require"

Oleh karena itu dalam artikel ini, penulis akan menjelaskan perbedaan dari ask, request, beg, demand dan require. agar kita tidak salah lagi dalam menggunakan kosa kata ini.

Baik, penulis akan langsung membalasnya.

1. ask: mempunya arti : meminta 
Kata "ask" ini digunakan dalam situasi non formal. misalkan, kita ngobrol dengan teman kita. 

Contoh dalam penggunaan: 
a. I ask you to bring my book
b. Will you ask me to take your book?

2. Request:mempunyai arti : meminta, permintaan.
Kata "request" ini digunakan dalam situasi formal. Misal dalam pidato, tulisan dan pengumuman. 

Contoh dalam penggunaan:
a. The teachers are requested not to come late tomorrow morning. Because there will be a meeting with The Head Master.
b. The Head Master received your request to join the competition.

3. Beg: mempunyai arti: meminta.

kata "beg" ini digunakan untuk meminta kemurahan hati seseorang untuk dengan sangat kerendahan hati.

Contoh dalam penggunaan:
a. Nadia has hurt his heart so, She begs to forgive her fault.
b. I have done many mistakes to you, so I beg you to forgive me.

4. Demand: mempunyai arti: meminta atau menuntut.
kata "demand" ini digunakan untuk meminta atau menuntut dengan berani dan penuh wewenang. 

Contoh dalam penggunaan:
a. The Head Master demands, all teachers do the duty right now. 
b. The Manager demands, the responsibility report is reported tomorrow afternoon after program.

5. Require: mempunyai arti: meminta atau menuntut.
Kata "require ini mempunyai arti meminta atau menuntut karena hal ini dipandang perlu atau penting untuk dilakukan.

Contoh dalam penggunaan:

a. The teacher requires the students to study hard. Because one week later, there will be an examination.
b. The students are required by the Head Master to join the extra curricular, because it it very important for them to develop their skill.

ALLAH KNOWS EVERYTHING

 Allah Knows Everything

Mr Hasan had three sons: Faruq, Abdullah and Qasim. He loved them very much. He wanted to see them grow up as good Muslims.

Mr Hasan himself was a good Muslim. He did his best to obey all commands of Allah.

One day, Mr Hasan thought to test his sons. He gave each of them some sweets and said, "Eat the sweets in such a place where no one can see you, and when you have done so, come back to me."

Faruq took the sweets and went to his room. He shut the door from the inside and ate the sweets thinking that no one could see him there.

Abdullah went to the cellar of the house and he was sure that nobody was there. He ate the sweets in the darkness of the cellar.

Qasim thought and thought about a place where he could eat the sweets without anyone seeing him. He could think of no such place. Every time he thought about a place, he remembered that Allah could see him, and he did not eat the sweets.

Faruq and Abdullah came back and told Mr Hasan about what they did. Qasim came and returned the sweets to his father saying, "There is no place which is secret from Allah, and so I did not eat the sweets."

Mr Hasan was very pleased with Qasim. he told Faruq and Abdullah to learn a lesson from their brother Qasim.

Mr Hasan also said, "My dear sons, always keep in mind that Allah knows everything and He sees everything. He is with us all the time. So we should not do anything bad, even in secret - because Allah Knows."
