The purpose of if clause (type 1) is to talk about possibilities in the present or future.
E.g.
If we go by bus, it will be cheaper.
You will pass the exam if you study hard.

The form is:
IF SIMPLE PRESENT, SIMPLE FUTURE
or
SIMPLE FUTURE IF SIMPLE PRESENT
IF SIMPLE PRESENT, SIMPLE FUTURE
or
SIMPLE FUTURE IF SIMPLE PRESENT
Sometimes, modals are also used.
E.g.
I may finish that project if I have time.
I can help you if you call me.
